Ending the year here in Alaska with grandbabies. I look to 2013. With wonder and adventure. The pottery will make some changes and will solidify. The studio is filled with new energy and life. The potter renewed, enthusiastic, determined. I will work with white ware. Pit fire and raku. Small sculptures. Urns. Is it possible to limit myself to 20 items. Might be worth trying.
Buddy's, hertage days. Grand Marais arts festival. Cross river heritage center. Waterfront gallery voyageur art center. Agate bay crafters 20/20 art tour.
I just keep on playing with this and eventually I may get down to business. right now i am off to feed the animals and make snow angels. the firing ended at 11:30 last night so I won't open the kiln until late today. sauna night and Christmas card. today.
I think it is best to start out simple and strong. I will add features as I go along and learn.
I love playing in the mud and the trees. Snow covered land and stars sparkling above. I enjoy the plethora of diamonds that sparkle on the water and again on my snow filled hillsides. I can't decide if it's best to narrow my focus or mix it up. I have always struggled with duality. I enjoy skiing or a walk in the woods. I have an Aussie puppy and an aging Jack Russell. I love my Finnish Husband, Reijo, solitude, and God.
